C Hunter Consulting LLC was formed in 2009 by Cheri Hunter after spending 25+ years working in human resources. We specialize in Affirmative Action compliance and can help your company navigate the process with ease.

Cheri Hunter
Partner

Cheri Hunter has more than 30 years of in–depth business, management, Human Resources, training, and consulting experience. Her area of specialty involves affirmative action program development and compliance.  She has skillfully guided many companies through OFCCP investigations with positive outcomes.

In 1997, after more than a decade spent running Personnel Solutions, Inc. (PSI), Ms. Hunter joined FBD Consulting, Inc. as a senior consultant. In 2009 she formed her own firm, C Hunter Consulting Services LLC where she continues to provide senior–level consulting services in the area of affirmative action compliance.  Her practical approach and ability to explain compliance requirements in an easy to understand manner have helped contribute to the success of the company.

Ms. Hunter has also provided services as an adjunct instructor at several community colleges, wrote many articles for the Kansas City Star and the Kansas City Business Journal, and published a book entitled “Hiring with Confidence.” She also collaborated on two handbooks written by state rural water associations.

Ms. Hunter has Bachelor and Master degrees in Business Administration.

Cheri currently practices out of the Kansas City area and works with clients throughout the US.

Amy Smith
Partner

Amy Smith has been a Human Resources professional for more than 20 years. She has experience in each specialty of Human Resources for a variety of industries, including union and non-union.

Prior to joining C Hunter Consulting Services, Ms. Smith worked at DST Systems, DST Output, Interstate Brands Corporation, and Personnel Solutions, Inc. (PSI) serving in various consulting, management, training, and compliance roles. While she has had experience in all areas of Human Resources, Ms. Smith’s expertise falls in regulatory/compliance, policies and procedures, handbooks, process improvement, system implementation and upgrades and training.

Ms. Smith has directed all activities tied to Affirmative Action for many companies. She has developed annual plans, conducted Adverse Impact reporting, created and provided on-site training, overseen OFCCP audits, ensured various systems supported AA requirements and annual record keeping, and lead annual compensation audits.

Ms. Smith has Bachelor degrees in both Business Administration and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Amy currently practices from the Kansas City area and works with clients throughout the US.
